Pied-a-terre

Residential

Completed May 2016

project brief

This project was for my Studio 1 class for interior design. Our building was located in the heart of downtown Savannah right along Riverstreet. The Cotton Sail Hotel was an adaptive reuse project. This residential project was based on the client given by the professor. My client, Ruth Bradley, is a family orientated person and her home is designed around that.

client: ruth bradley

Ruth is a textile collector.  Her husband Raphael is the president at fx initiate where he works in currency trading. They both have two wonderful kids name Louis and Charlotte. Louis is 6 years old and Charlotte is 4 years old. As a family oriented person Ruth knows how to balance both her personal and professional life. Her job as a textile collector has led her to travel to diverse places. When traveling her kids and husband are always present with her on the trips. This way she gets to do her job while still making memories with her family.
